The Wires and Wood History

In the summer of 2001, Mark Mervis along with Eric McMurray of The Scott County Boys and Moccasin Gap joined forces with other talented and seasoned musicians to play a private party at Bristol Motor Speedway. This collaboration formed the nucleus of Wires and Wood. Now ten years later the Wires and Wood signature sound is marked by an eclectic song mix and excellent instrumentation and they bring their best to every performance. Over the years the band has included, along with Mervis and Mcmurray, Ricky Barker, Glen Harlow, Randy Jackson, Glen Rose and Claiborne A. Woodall as well as many special guests and friends.
